Oak Tree Retreat is situated in possibly one of the most stunning settings in Derbyshire, on the edge of a 60-acre private estate and ancient woodland with views you simply will not want to leave.
If you are looking for time to unwind and let the countryside wrap around yourself in the warm and cosy retreat, this is the perfect setting.
Underfloor heating with fluffy blankets, walks from the door, the Peaks and good pubs to explore, will allow you to return feeling fully relaxed.
A two night stay, supply of the following:

Utilities - Electric, heating and hot water
Free Wi-fi
1 night of logs for the outdoor fire pit (further logs can be purchased but a request must be made the day before as these are in a locked barn).

Standard check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am
Please remove dirty or high heeled shoes on entry. Please do not bring candles, tea lights or incense sticks as they are not allowed at the property
No fireworks or Chinese lanterns are allowed
No smoking or vaping inside the property.
Vaping can trigger the fire alarms
No outdoor music
We ask that any outside socialising be brought inside by 10pm.
Not suitable for Hen and Stag Groups
No glitter please as even the most eco friendly kind is impossible to remove from the soft furnishings and hard wearing floors
Parking
We allow 1 car for Oak Tree Retreat but if you need more, please drop a request over.
For reasons of both safety and property insurance, under no circumstances should you use the domestic plug sockets in the property to charge an electric vehicle.
Our domestic supply in the retreat does not have the capacity or set up to support EV charging.
Outdoor Space
The retreat is located within the grounds of the owner’s accommodation. The Retreat is situated in its own private location and guests should not be disturbed.There is a dedicated outdoor sitting area with a fire pit.

The hand built cabin has been well thought out with soft lighting and table lamps to create a cosy environment.

There is a shower room with an off-grid Cinderella Toilet, renowned for its sustainable and environmentally friendly performance.
It is easy to use and requires a small supplied paper sheet to be placed in the bowl before use making it hygienic and clean. A press of a button and everything is gone.
No cleaning, no smells, no emptying required.

This retreat is fully heated and is a warm and cosy place to come for the winter and equally a beautiful and stunning setting for summer.
The retreat is situated in a private area and is not overlooked. You may wish to bring an eye mask if you do not wish for mother nature to wake you up.
With underfloor heating, fur throws and an outside fire, you'll stay toasty and warm throughout.
For warmer days, a fan is on hand to keep the retreat cool. (please do request this if it is needed for any other times of the year).
Towels, sheets and special toiletries are provided.
